Leg day moves while nursing my @1upnutrition pre-workout -- one of those dayzzz. Full workout not shown but wanted to touch on 3 things you can add to your lower body days - 1️⃣ Squats: SLOW -- I’ll go heavy & hard 1-2x per week but typically take a day to lower the weight, focus on form, and on my tempo 2️⃣ Cable Kickbacks: this is a pain to set up but I LOVE how these eliminate my back issue and focus on my glutes 3️⃣ Reverse Hack Squat: I do these at least once a week or so. This was my heaviest set of the day for 10-ish reps - Hope everyone has an amazing weekend! I’m going on an adventure -- -- -- || 1up code: presleykp || -- thin red line sports bra @cnc.apparel code: presleykp || shoes: @nobullproject

I was in third grade sitting in a classroom in New York when the Twin Towers fell. We watched it on the tv in our classroom and were on lockdown. We went home early that day. I remember not understanding really what the towers were or why someone would crash into them deliberately. I remember looking up at my teacher with tears in her eyes and didn’t understand why she was crying. I had family who should’ve died in that tower that day but didn’t. My family who were firefighters and police officers went down to help. As a child, it’s hard to understand the hatred and killing in the world. As an adult, I look back on that day and I feel angry. As I stood in front of the 9/11 memorial a few years ago, I felt the weight of grief. The one thing it has taught me is though these were perilous times, there is no need to fear. As each one of those 343 firefighters ran in there that day, they knew the risk. And yet, they selflessly laid down their lives for another. Proud to be an American.
